A nomadic Englishman, Paul has travelled far since he saw the light of day on the banks of the River Mersey a lifetime ago. While early childhood had some interesting challenges and developments, the setbacks that arose began to shape his path for the future. Early poetry experiences were writing love poems for his school friends to give to their girlfriends. At the age of 12 this was a wonderful way to generate pocket money
Initial ambitions were to join the police force and try to make a difference in the lives of others. In later years Paul came to realise that wearing a police uniform was a way to hide behind a facade. Fates conspired to take him into a new career and a whole new world of international travel. He went from Liverpool across Africa, through Asia, Europe and the Asia Pacific. These journeys become the basis of many poems. His writing has expanded to include a soon to be published children's book. A novel is in its initial stages.
Paul chose to settle in the United States and found the Midwest quite to his liking. He now resides near Cedar Rapids, Iowa with his wife Dorothea. Spare time is spent working on Dorothea's many projects, volunteering at the local library, and writing for a local performance group.
